HOPINEU Lecture Series – Optional Application of the Principles of European Insurance Contract Law (PEICL)

This event was held online on 10 November 2020 where Helmut Heiss (University of Zurich / European Law Institute (ELI) Special Interest Group on Insurance Law – Co-Chair) was hosted. Heiss who has been leading a project on the harmonisation of insurance law principles in EU delivered a talk on the optional application of the Principles of European Insurance Contract Law (PEICL) the final version of which was published in 2015. This event was organised by Ayşegül Buğra as part of her Jean Monnet Module project which is being run with the support of the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union. The seminar was attended by representatives from insurance companies from Türkiye and abroad, lawyers, academics and students.
