Certificate Program on Business and Human Rights



College of Law in cooperation with Raul Wallenberg Institute established a certificate program which introduced the subject of business and human rights to students by covering its different aspects from multiple perspectives and to invite speakers with certain popularity to create more interest in the topic. The program included following seminars by the experts in this fields:

  • ”A Deeper Dive on Applying the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in the Turkish Context: Using the Examples of Forced Labour and Child Labour in Turkish Businesses and Value Chains”, Margaret Wachenfeld, Managing Director at Themis Research
  • “Business Responsibility for the Right to Environment”, Başkut Tuncak, the UN General Secretary Special Rapporteur
