The World Trade Organization after 19 years: A Glass Half-full, Half-empty or Broken?

In this event hosted by NASAMER, our guest speaker in the field of international economic law was Prof. Dr. Peter L.H. Van den Bossche from Maastricht University. On December 3rd, 2013, Prof. Van den Bossche held a speech titled “The World Trade Organization after 19 years: A Glass Half-full, Half-empty or Broken?” in the Founders Hall. His presentation focusing not only on the achievements of the World Trade Organization in the past but also the challenges that is faces today as an Organization received the uttermost appreciation by the faculty members as well as students. Following his speech, Prof. Van den Bossche gathered with the faculty members, whereby disputed matters with regard to the Professor Bossche’s topic of presentation were discussed. Professor Bossche was also invited to Global Relations Forum to deliver a speech after his lecture.
